The real name of DJ Lambo is Olawunmi Okerayi. She was born in Ogun State, where she spent her childhood years. She comes from the family of seven and she has four brothers, being the only girl in the family.
The famous DJ confessed that her stage name Lambo or Lamborghini comes from her first name Olawunmi because her family and peers used to call her Lam Lam. She is a graduate of English Literature from University of Abuja.
The biggest influence and inspiration for Olawunmi was her father, DJ Tony Lewis, who used to perform on stage in the past. Besides, she always loved music a lot and enjoyed mixing different sounds. Early Life
She attended the University of Abuja from where she graduated with a degree in English and Literature. DJ Lambo basically learned the rudimentary of ‘DJing’ on her only occasionally getting directives from her colleagues.

DJ Lambo defines herself as a self-made DJ, saying that she basically taught herself to mix music, even though she admits that she was inspired and shown the special features of DJ business by some people. She does not approve when people say a DJ job is only for males. In her opinion, women can achieve everything they want without relying on men, and there are no professions that are divided by gender, both men and women can succeed in anything they wish.
Career
Growing up to the influence of Kanye West, Drake, Big Sean she defines her music style as the mix of house music, Afropop, techno, and hip-hop. Her career started officially in 2008 through to 2009, as a radio personality on Raypower (100.5 FM), Rhythm Abuja (94.7 FM), and Love FM Abuja (104.5 FM), realizing amidst all these that she only came alive while DJing.
In 2010, she started her DJ career professionally producing a lot of singles and mix tapes including “Drank” featuring Milli which was produced by Reinhard, garnering a lot of air play. The DJ whose signature look is an unusual color of hair and tomboy choice of clothing has performed at many shows including the Aramis and Oxygen Abuja which was where she met and was subsequently signed by M.I. In 2017, she was chosen with several other DJ’s to play at the Saturday’s party of the Big Brother Naija, season 2.
She is currently signed to the Chocolate City, which is a sister label of Loopy Music, where she was signed previously. She produced a lot of singles and mixtapes.
